One more day. . .

We’ll leave our house Thursday at 10am. It will be a long, long day (and night) of travel. We’ll spend the weekend in Taipei and Monday we will meet Evan in Tainan. Wednesday (Oct. 6th) we begin our journey home.

We hope to post pictures while we’re gone. It’s comforting to know that we are still connected to friends and family here. If you could join me in sending the following thoughts to Evan, it might make his transition just a tad bit easier. This has been my mantra for him (and the rest of our family) the past few weeks:
Be healthy, be happy, be strong, be brave.

    Dear Nathan, Diana and Ava,

Have a safe, wonderful trip!!!! You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. I’m sending positive thoughts your way. How absolutely exciting for all of you and naturally us too. I have an alert on so when you post pictures and comments I will know right away. I can only imagine how long this wait has been for you but the time is finally here. I am so excited to get to see a picture of the whole family for the first time. I remember so vividly reading the blog when you were in China. I know I must have cried every time I read it. You both write so well it was like I was there. I know Ava must be so excited to be getting a little brother and she will be a big sister. I know, being the youngest of our family (you know I had to throw that in), just how important a big sister is. I know Ava will be a wonderful big sister just like my sisters always have been for me. There is nothing like sibling bonds. I’m so happy for you all.

Love, hugs and kisses to all of you,
    Aunt Myrna

Safe travels to all of you. I’ll be thinking of you this weekend as you prepare to meet the new little being who will join you on this amazing life journey.

Our thoughts will be with you as you travel travel travel! It will be a whirlwind, but hopefully you will be able to savor the details of those first days. That is what i regret the most: i was so overwhelmed, i forgot to pause and center myself and be present. I guess I wrote a lot down but still – it is the details I want to hang on to.

And when all else fails, take a nap on Unicorn pillow! xo Lisa & Rick & Clara

I KNOW the wait has been long but in a few short days, you’ll have your son and the waiting will be a distant memory. I’m so excited for all of you. The best of times is yet to come.
    Love your mantra!
Sending you lots of positive thoughts and good wishes!
