Our adoption agency called to tell us the final contract from Taiwan will be sent out today along with an update about our son’s development. The foster parents have also included a little book they put together where they asked him questions (like, what is your favorite food) and wrote down the answers. I wasn’t aware one year olds knew that many words, but we’re looking forward to any and all information being shared. There are no pictures in this update, which disappointed me a bit.
Ava and Sofi made the 3rd project from the Mermaid Warriors class today. It is a fairy house made out of a glass jar. They painted the inside and filled it with things fairies would like- moss, tulle, sea shells, and glitter. Fairies will come sleep in the houses in the night, occasionally enjoying treats we leave out and maybe even leaving treats or notes for the maker of the house. One wish I have for my daughter is that she never lose her sense of magic. She keeps telling me, “You don’t have to be cool to believe in fairies.” (I’m not sure what she means by that, but I love that she is standing up for the existence of fairies.)
