Cape Cod I

We made it! Saturday morning I woke up at 3:30am and got Ava up at 4:00am for our 7:00am flight. Ava was great on the bus and planes, but didn’t sleep more than one hour the entire day. I think she was too excited to fall asleep.

We flew into Rhode Island and drove to the Cape. We arrived about 5:30pm and, as Lisa said, Ava and Clara picked up right where they left off. Clara is a leader and Ava loves to follow. After about 20 minutes, they started fighting over toys, but then we couldn’t get them to sleep last night they were having so much fun together. It’s a hoot to hear their conversations. Last time we were together, they couldn’t really talk to each other.

I can hear them in the bedroom right now as they are supposed to be going to sleep. They keep saying, “Now you do it,” and then they giggle uncontrollably. I imagine I’ll be getting Ava in a few minutes to sleep in here so they can get some rest.

The beach here is beautiful and the ocean water is actually warm. The parents are having a great time trading stories and watching the girls’ shenanigans.

And now I must go as Ava and Clara are not going to sleep in the same room. More soon 🙂

I thought you MIGHT just like the cape :~) It is wonderful, isn’t it? And I loved that I was able to be at the premier of Nathan’s movie—what a great job he did! And how fun to be included…! Enjoy the rest of the week. Sure was nice to see all of you again. Love, Paula
