Once we were home from Mexico, we started preparing for Christmas. This was the first Christmas that Ava actually understood anything, so all of it was a big deal. We made ornaments for our
very first tree. We decorated cookies with friends and Ava even met Santa on Christmas Eve. We had so much fun shopping for toys and even more fun playing with them.
Ava got a new robe to lounge around in on the weekends, a doctor kit, a tool kit, an electronic drum (from Uncle Mark and Aunt Jen), a baking set, lots of cute clothes, and some puzzles and games to name a few of her gifts.
It’s been such a magical time for Ava seeing all the lights, meeting King Winter (at the Waldorf elementary school), and then meeting Santa tonight. She wouldn’t sit on Santa’s lap, but she declared that he is “loud” and “big.” She sure took her toy from him without hesitation though 🙂
